How long does editing take?

If needed, I can finish small projects in less than a day, but the normal turnaround is 3-7 days.  If you are under a tight time constraint, be sure to let me know.

How does this work?
Submit a document you'd like to have edited.  Send me an e-mail with your Microsoft Word file as an attachment or paste the document into the body of the e-mail as plain text. Be sure to include the date by which the editing needs to be completed, as well as any special instructions you might have.  

I will evaluate your document for the level of work it requires.  I will return an e-mail containing a quote of my proposed charges.  If you would like to proceed, just follow the payment link in the e-mail.  For a general idea of my fees, please see my rates page.

I'm not familiar with Word's correction features.  What do I do with my document when you send it back to me?
"Track Changes" and "Markup" features are available in Word.

Do documents have to be submitted in Word?

No, you may submit plain text, but the changes I make will just appear as regular text. 

How can I tell what level of editing to request?

You don't need to specify a level when you request a quote.  I will take a look at your document and determine how much editing it will require.  Based on this, I will let you know what the total editing fee would be.  Most people make more mistakes in their writing than they realize.  This doesn't mean that you are a bad writer.  The best writers need to have their work edited before it is published.  

Can you help with formatting?

Yes!  I will be glad to help with any formatting problems you might have.
